Info for TX Regional Competition

The MATE Texas Regional ROV Competition will be on Saturday, May 13 at our NEW LOCATION!!

FLUID POWER QUIZ CLOSES ON MARCH 24!!  If you are a RANGER team and plan to use fluid power for your ROV, you MUST take and PASS the Fluid Power Quiz.  If you do not pass the quiz, you will not be allowed to use the fluid power device.  

LASERS:  No teams from the Texas Regional have submitted laser specs; submission deadline is passed.  This means that NO TEAMS will be allowed to use a laser on their ROV at the Texas Regional Competition this year.

                                  RANGER

***NOTE The Texas Region does not have the NAVIGATOR Class.  Also, Explorer teams are NOT required to attend the Regional competition, but you are welcome to come; you are also welcome to volunteer.  Just email the Regional Coordinator to let us know you are comin

Texas Regional Requirements:

SCOUT:  Product demo  (each team will have 2 chances to demo in the water, once in the morning, once in the afternoon)

              Product presentation (15 minute oral presentation to judges)

              Company Spec Sheet

 

RANGER:  Product demo (each team will have 2 chances to demo in the water, once in the morning, once in the afternoon)

              Product presentation (15 minute oral presentation to judges)

              Company Spec Sheet

              Technical Documentation (the entire technical report -- see the requirements starting on Page 58 of the RANGER Competition Manual)
                        Technical Documentation MUST be provided at team check-in on the day of competition.  TWO paper copies must be submitted at that time.
